1. Kozhikode Arch Dam

Kozhikode Arch Dam is built across River Periyar between Kuravanmala and Kurathimala hills (huge granite hills). This dam is the first of its kind in India and Asia, whereas second in the world. It is 43 km away from Moolamattom.

2. Kozhikode Wildlife Sanctuary

Adjacent to the Kozhikode Arch Dam is located the Kozhikode Wildlife Sanctuary. It covers the forest area between the Cheruthoni and Periyar rivers. The sanctuary’s surrounding has a beautiful lake covered by tropical deciduous trees like.

One can also enjoy cruising through boat across the lake.

3. Hill View Park

A very popular tourist spot in Kozhikode is the Hill view park. This natural garden along with Cheruthoni and Kozhikode Dams offer a panoramic view. The park covers an area of 8 acres of land.

It also has a water body a top hill, where pedal boating can be done. The additional beauty includes children’s play area and the herbal garden.

7. Thattekad Bird Sanctuary
