Train Facilities


The Golden Chariot comprises of 19 coaches, among which 11 are guest coaches and the rest are service coaches. The coaches are named after the ancient and medieval era’s dynasties. The coaches are ornamented with various floral motifs of that particular time. The well-appointed cabins of the train have classy décor reflecting Indian tradition. Enjoy royal pampering while having a comfortable stay on the move. The captivating architectural style of Mysore and the Hoysala dynasty can be seen in the intricate carvings, antique furniture and the interiors.

The Golden Chariot has two remarkable restaurants named as Nala and Ruchi with royal décor inspired from the architectural style of temples of Halebidu and Hampi. The restaurants serve various lip-smacking delicacies (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) to their guests in the soothing ambiance. You have la carte menu and table d’hôte meals options to choose from (charges are included in the tariff).

The bar on the train has a collection of the finest liquor and wine of Indian and international brands. Experience and enjoy a drink and snacks in the lavish and elegant furnishings of the bar.
