Delhi is the International airport for North India where most of foreign tourists land and stay. While staying in Delhi, in a couple of hours drive through Agra Express Highway or through Taj Express by rail, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort can be visited. Hindu temples at Mathura and Vrindavan are closest to Delhi.
During stay in North India, nearby places which can be visited are Amritsar and important Hill Stations like Mussoorie, Nainital, Simla, Srinagar besides many other getaways from North India.
In Amristar, visit Golden Temple ( Sikh Shrine) and attari border with Pakistan. Mussoorie, located at an altitude of 2,500 meters in Himalayan ranges, is highly frequented Hill Station with green landscape and modern facilities. Nainital too is Himalayan Hill Station at still higher altitude with beautiful lakes and deep forests for spending the weekends.
Shimla has pleasant weather with green fields and forests. Srinagar, in Kashmir valley, is called Paradise on Earth with Dull Lake in the valley encircled by snow capped hills in Himalayas.
