Heli Tours Has Been Launched in Mumbai by MTDC, Pawan Hans

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in association with Pawan Hans has launched heli-tourism. The chief secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Swadheen Kshatriya inaugurated the service on January 7, 2016 along with the secretary of tourism and cultural affairs, Government of Maharashtra, Valsa Nair Singh. Tourists can avail the service of heli-tours from 3:00 pm. The helicopters for the joy ride of 10 minutes will take off every day from Juhu Aerodrome. Each person can avail the joy ride service at INR 3200 (inclusive of all taxes). Only Mumbai tours will be introduced at first, which will be followed by heli-tours to Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Elephanta Island and then to Shirdi later on. Children up to 2 years of age will not be charged for the ride. Tourists need to carry their identity cards during the rides. Managing Director of MTDC, Paraag Jain Nainuttia said, “Heli-Tourism in Maharashtra opens up a world of new possibilities for travelers. With an idea of providing more to tourists, we are looking to boost potential tourism in the state. We are optimistic that this new initiative will be well received and see tremendous demand in the days to come.”
