World Travel Market London 2016,one of the popular three-day global events for the worldwide travel and tourism industry is attended by almost 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press to meet industry professionals and conduct business deals. At this year’s, on honoring India as WTM London’s Premier Partner, Mr. Simon Press, Executive Director, WTM London, Dr. Mahesh Sharma,  Minister of State for Tourism and  Culture, Government of India  and Secretary Tourism, Mr. Vinod Zutshi along with 42 co-exhibitors comprising State Governments/Union Territory Administrations, tourism stakeholders etc. not only showcase that India is truly ‘Incredible’  but represent India diverse tourism from cultural heritage to beaches, cruises, eco-tourism, medical tourism and religious tourism to more than 9,000 of the world’s most important buyers through the WTM Buyers’ Club. india-foreign-touristsNot only the prestigious India honoured grabbed highlight in event but the research done by PR specialist Bell Pottinger and an online analysis on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, forums, news sites, blogs, YouTube and Instagram) during the course of the three-day World Travel Market 2016 event revealed that India is one of the hot spots for 2017 and second most talked about destinations in the world. According to the latest data from the Indian Ministry of Tourism,India Tourism is already showing signs of an increase or witnessing an overwhelming double digit growth of 10.5% in international arrivals in the current year which was around 4 to 4.5% in 2015.The figures seem to be impressive and set the Foreign Exchange Earnings growth also at above 14.7% for the same period. This positive development is expected to continue during remaining period of this year. Another figure as per the Indian Ministry of Tourism is Domestic Tourism; there has been a continuous increase in domestic tourist visits also, with the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), In 2015 Domestic Tourism recorded tourist visits of 1431.97 million but according to the current year estimate, the number of Domestic Tourist visits is likely to reach a record of 1700 million.
