Parmarth Niketan Ashram organizes the International Yoga Festival every year in Rishikesh (India), in association with the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, GMVN. This festival is stranded in the source of Yoga. In 2024 International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh will begin on Friday, 8 March and Ends on 14th March 2024.
In the International Yoga Festival, you will find the opportunity to learn and practice from mentors or Yog Gurus hailing from the traditional Yoga family in India and overseas yoga schools. This Festival will continue for a week from 8th of March to 14th of March 2024, providing you a platform to participate in Yoga classes for over 60 hours and to learn from Yoga teachers coming from all across the world. Programs of the Festival
The festival conducts a different program every day. Each day’s class of the International Yoga Festival varies from the other.
The general program of the festival will be as follows:
- Classes will begin from 4:00 AM every day.
- An hour’s Yoga class will be held every day at 6:30 AM. After that a simple breakfast will be provided.
- Take on a two-hour session of Yoga at 8:30 AM.
- Before lunch, at 11:00 AM get blessed with the inspiring and divine lectures from the valued saints and yogacharyas.
- By 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM you will be served with a traditional Indian lunch.
- Post lunch, instructional classes will be followed by three Yogasana classes from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
- In the evening, attend the special Aarti performed on the banks of holy River Ganga from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Dinner will be served at 7:00 PM
- At 9:30 PM, attend a satsang with the revered spiritual leaders of India along with cultural events of song and dance, campfires, etc.

4. The Beatles Ashram
In the year 1968, the Beatles traveled to Rishikesh to attend a transcendental Meditation session at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram. This visit turned to be the most productive time of the Beatles’ that changed the opinion of entire world towards Indian spirituality.
