Madhya Pradesh Got 10 Awards in National Tourism Awards 2019
National Tourism Awards was organized on 27th September of 2019 in New Delhi. The award function was honored by Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture and other dignitaries. In this award ceremony, Madhya Pradesh bagged ten different awards in categories like best adventure state, best heritage city, and others. 76 awards were given during this ceremony under various categories and genres of tourism.

About National Tourism Awards
The Government of India and Ministry of Tourism presents the National Tourism Awards under various categories and elements of tourism. These awards are presented to state governments, heritage hotels, travel agents, tourism transport operators, union territories and other private organizations, which work for promoting tourism in the country.
Awards offered to Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board
This year, Madhya Pradesh tourism board is the most active and creative tourism boards of the country and bagged the most number of awards. The awards received by Madhya Pradesh tourism board are under the categories of Best Adventure State, Best Maintained and Differently Abled Friendly Monument (Buddhist Monument at Sanchi), Best Wildlife Guide (Manoj Kumar), Best Airport (Indore), Best Tourist Transport Operator (Radiant Travel), Swachhta Award (Indore), Best Heritage City (Orchha), Best Tourism Promotion Publicity Material (Lonely planet pocket guides) and Excellence in Publishing in Foreign Language (Chinese Brochure). Madhya Pradesh has bagged the award for Best Tourism State for the third consecutive year.

What Officials says about Madhya Pradesh
During the ceremony, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation said that the ten National Awards is an element of pride for the state. He also recognized the guidance of Minister of Tourism Department, Shri Surendra Singh Baghel, who tries to bring out excellence in every field of tourism.
Senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board mentioned that they appreciate the contribution of the entire tourism field and also aims to improve the standards of hospitality and services. They also extended the awards to tour operators, tourism board senior officials, stakeholders, destination management companies and the millions of travelers, who made these awards possible for Madhya Pradesh.
Apart from Madhya Pradesh, many other states have bagged eminent award titles. State of Andhra Pradesh won the award for overall growth in the tourism sector, Uttarakhand won recognition for the Best Film Promotion-Friendly State, Telangana bagged the award for Best State for Innovative use of IT and so on.
