Taj Mahal Re Opens for Tourists After 2 Months with Preferred Guidelines
Amidst the Pandemic situation, with the decline in the COVID cases in Agra, the Taj Mahal has been open to tourists once again. District Magistrate of Agra Prabhu N Singh mentioned that only 650 people are allowed inside the monument.
Further, all the COVID protocols will be followed sincerely by the Taj Mahal Authority. There will be teams to monitor the crowds at all times. The Taj Mahal was first closed on 17th March 2020 due to increasing COVID cases. It reopened again on September 21, 2020, along with various restrictions to be followed.
But again, due to the second wave, it was closed on 16th April 2021. Now if you are visiting to Agra then you can opt for the Taj Mahal and explore the famous monuments of Agra.
Guidelines to Be Followed by the Tourists Visiting the Taj Mahal
1.Only 650 people will be allowed inside the monument at one time. All the protocols will be strictly followed while teams will be put to monitor the crowds.
- The Taj Mahal will be sanitized properly three times a day. Likewise, this will be done to keep the monument hygienic as much as possible.
- The ticket counters will not be open on the premises. The tickets can be booked online only. The district Magistrate only mentioned that from one phone number, only five people can book at a single time.
- All the visitors should be wearing masks. Thermal screenings will be done at the gate itself. Also, the visitors have to sanitize themselves before entering the monument.
- All the visitors have to strictly follow the social distancing norms. They cannot touch any object inside the monument. Besides, the visitors have to carry their own water bottles since nothing can be bought inside. Carrying hand sanitizers has been made mandatory.
In Agra, all the centrally protected museums and monuments have been allowed to open from June 16 2021. This order has been passed from the Archaeological Survey Of India. A total of 3,693 monuments have been open across the country consisting of 30 museums.
