The Golden City Gate Award goes to Kerala Tourism

The prestigious Golden City Gate Award of tourism was bagged by Kerala Tourism, this year. In a leading trade show of travel that took place in ITB, Berlin, Kerala Tourism was recognized by not one, but two Golden City Gate Awards for campaign and posters.   Kerala was recognized for its effort in the biennale campaign, ‘Live Inspired’ and the posters created for the same. The award was received by the president of tourism in Kerala, Bala Kiran from the president of Golden City Gate, Wolfgang Jo. What was so special about Live Inspired? It is a multimedia campaign, which focuses on the artistic, human experience and cultural beauty of Kerala. The film, script and concept were scripted by Stark Communication and was directed by the famous cinematographer, Sameer Thahir. In this program, more than 157 films originating from 37 different countries competed for the City Gate Award under different genre. The award was assigned by a jury that included 45 members from around the world who rated the print advertisements and the films under 15 different categories. The Diamond Award for the films was delivered to Spain (Catalunya) for its campaign, ‘Route of Fate’. Since the inauguration of Golden City Gate Awards, the function has been conducted 18 times in Berlin. The main aim of this association is to recognize the great contributions in every genre of travel and tourism. Categories included in this award are events, documentaries, online webinar, online website, music, print campaigns and others.
