5. NDMC Area, New Delhi

The area under the administration of the New Delhi Municipal Council is often referred to as the NDMC area. This urban locality has bagged the fifth position and earned the title of ‘India’s Cleanest City’ by Swachh Survekshan 2019. NDMC area always manages to be on the top 10 positions of the list but this year was extraordinary. It has successfully implemented door-to-door waste management and segregation in all areas. The wet waste goes for compost making and the dry waste goes to the Okhla Energy Plant. There are over 100 compost pits for managing horticulture waste. The council has also installed 20 underground bins to prevent openly dumping of wastes. Even the residents of NDMC are actively participating in the initiatives to bring a change in their locality.

6. Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The former capital and one of the biggest cities in Gujarat, Ahmedabad is a major economic and industrial hub. It ranks sixth among the top cleanest cities in the country by the ‘Swachh Sarvekshan,’ 2019 result. Previously, it was awarded the title of the cleanest ‘big city’ by the Union Ministry and the citizens are mostly responsible for that. The city was successful in 100% garbage collection from all wards, hence the result.

    Government of India like how you people have made other cities clean in India pls make a strict rule so that India can be pollution free in some places of the country vegetables and fruit sellers still sell fruits and vegetables at those places where dirty flies and insects sit on it in some places of the country these are no clean public toilets because of which people fall sick and die due to sicknesses and please provide spittons and garbage bins everywhere so that people should not spit on the road and pls don’t reuse plastic once when it is thrown into the dustbin because it causes cancer pls make a strict rule due to which people can keep the cities clean in India
