World Cultural Festival 2016 – Delhi
On completing 35 years of its service, The Art of Living Foundation is organizing the World Cultural Festival from 11 March to 13 March, 2016. The foundation is known for its humanity, immense spirituality and high human values. The festival celebrates the cultural diversity from across the world. At the same time, it highlights the unity of people worldwide as a human family.
It celebrates peace, as it draws various world leaders and people together at one place as a family. It celebrates diversity, helping the attendants or visitors to understand and appreciate the uniqueness and similarity, while strengthening the bond of humanity throughout the world.
The World Culture Festival will bring together 3.5 million people from all across the world together demonstrating power of peace. It serves as a platform for international music, arts and culture, which are diverse & unique and to some extent similar.
The Art of Living has been working for the development of health and welfare of the underprivileged people, more than 30 years. In India, projects for the development of rural and urban areas have been empowered on the basis of social, economical, and environmental conditions or changes.

Since last ten years, the Art of Living has majorly worked in boosting the culture of the nations, right from orchestrating the biggest band of bagpipers to organizing the largest vegetarian buffet of the world. The number of people who have enjoyed these events and supported them has only grown larger over the years. Some of the celebrations entered the Guinness World Records for striking achievement.

The Vision and Mission of the Foundation
The Art of Living was founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the year 1981. It is a movement related with education and human welfare, providing lessons in stress-management. This organization involves 155 countries of the world and inspired the lives of more than 370 million people.
Under the guidance of Sri Sri’s philosophy of peace: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.” the programs are functioned. The Art of Living offers programs for stress-elimination through yoga, meditation and breathing techniques.
The main objective of the Art of Living is to promote peace among communities through various projects of human welfare like disaster relief, conflict resolution, women empowerment, continuous rural development, rehabilitation for prisoner, environmental sustainability and education for all.

Location and Timings for the Event
The World Cultural Festival is organized at the Grounds opposite to Mayur Vihar, Phase-1 Metro Station and Mayur Vihar Extension Metro Station, in Delhi NCR region.
Date: Attend the festival from 11 March to 13 March, 2016.
Timings: Enjoy the events from 5 PM onwards.

How to Reach the Location
The location for this event is easily accessible. From Indira Gandhi International Airport, you need to cover a distance of about 27.1 km through Metro rail to reach Mayur Vihar Metro Station. You will need to change your metro train twice. Once at New Delhi Station and then at Rajiv Chowk. From Rajiv Chowk you need to board the metro for Noida City Center. De-board the train at Mayur Vihar Metro Station.
