9 Days - Chardham Tour From Haridwar

Haridwar - Barkot - Yamunotri - Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag


The trip to Haridwar is quite a popular one amongst most of the Hindus people. Basically, they consider it as the holy pilgrimage trip to Chardham that is of 10 days. This is why you must book all things well in advance. In order to plan for the trip, make sure you do the booking and planning all well in advance.

The drive to Mussoorie Lake and then further to Phoolchatti and later the bath at Jamunabai Kund's are some unique experiences that you enjoy. It is this trip that will give you an incredible experience to cherish.

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Haridwar - Barkot (210kms/7-8 hrs)

Once you reach the destination, the driver will pick you at Haridwar. You will then be transferred to Barkot through Mussoorie. In midway, you will get a halt to enjoy the serene Mussoorie Lake and even the kempty fall in Mussoorie that are popular attractions.

Post that there will still be driven with no halt and directly be dropped at Barkot. You will then have to do further check-in process at a hotel and have a pleasant overnight stay.

Day 2 : Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (36 kms drive & 6kms Trek)

The next morning when you start your day, to boost your mood there will be a mouth relishing breakfast that would be packed and served to you. You then shall be headed to jankichatti / Phoolchatti & then the star trek would begin from the destination till Yamunotri which shall be around 6 km.

You can go by walk or there could also be a horse or Doli for convenience but that could be a little pricey. Make sure you get yourself dipped in the warm bath at Jamunabai Kund's and also take the Darshan of Yamunaji while you return from Jankichatti by trek. It is then time for you to have a drive towards Barkot and the have a stay at the hotel overnight and relax yourself

Day 3 : Barkot - Uttarkashi (100kms/4hr)

On the third day after breakfast, your trio will begin driving to Uttarkashi. There is a place called Shivgufa on the way to Uttarkashi.

Once you reach Uttarkashi make sure you also pay a visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is located in the same city.

Right after you check-in at the hotel, there will be some time for you to relax and have an overnight stay in the hotel

Day 4 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100kms/3-4 Hrs Each side)

On this day, you will be served sealed breakfast again which you might want to enjoy eating while seeing the scenic beauty as there will be a drive to Gangotri. The route to this passes by Gangnani in which you might want to take a halt at the Garam Kund.

Moving further, there will be a drive to Gangotri through lovely Harshil valley where you must take some minutes halt and click beautiful pictures too. Since this valley is known for the natural beauty and majestic views, you might not want to miss out on this experience.

Once you arrive at the place, you must have a holy dip in the sacred River of the Ganges which is also called as Bhagirathi at its origin. There are people whom you will see performing Darshan and Pooja one your relax for some time in the surroundings it is time to head back to Uttarkashi and have a pleasant relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5 : Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (220kms/8-9hrs)

Your new day will start after a healthy breakfast where you shall be then heading to Guptkashi via Moolgarh & Lambgaon through the drive. You shall be seeing the lovely river Mandakini at Tilwara where you can take a halt to click some incredible pictures.

This river comes from Kedarnath and drives along the river to reach the Guptkashi River. Do visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple there and the check-in at the hotel and then have an overnight stay too.

Day 6 : Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Guptkashi (30kms by road & 19kms Trek one way)

For morning the breakfast shall be served and then you will be heading to Gaurikund where your trek would begin till Kedarnath. You can go by walk or pay extra for a pony for Helicopter.

Make sure you visit the Kedarnath Temple and then complete your trek and head back for the drive to Guptkashi. You will have an overnight stay here. If you reach by Helicopter the driver will then take you to pre-book Helipad accordingly and then head back to the hotel for rest

Day 7 : Guptkashi - Badrinath (220kms/9-10hrs)

Once you have a mouth relishing breakfast you can then drive to Badrinath. You might want to check in to the hotel on the arrival at Badrinath and then there is a pilgrim where you should take a visit but for this, get a bath at Taptkund and visit Badrivishal & Aarti that is held in the evening.

This place is known for the Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors and there are so many amazing sightseeing spots that you might want to explore such as Mata Murti, Bhimkund, Mana, and Vyas Gufa to name some. Within the 3kms of Badrinath ji, there is a hotel where you shall then have an overnight stay.

Day 8 : Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag (160kms/7hrs)

After morning breakfast your driver will take you to Rudraprayag through Joshimath. On your way, you shall come across the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath for later drive back to Rudraprayag. Once you check-in at the hotel at Rudraprayag, there can be an overnight stay for you to enjoy.

Day 9 : Haridwar (Departure)

On your last day after breakfast, in the morning you shall be headed for Haridwar through Rishikesh. Rishikesh is known to be the place of sages where the town celebrates each day at a spiritual level on the bank of Ganga.

It is always surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on all the three sides. It is believed that when Raibhya Rishi worked hard, it was a god who appeared in front of him and named Hrishikesh which is why this place later was named Rishikesh. People here make a note to visit for sightseeing like Ram Jhulla and Laxman Jhulla and later driver would drop you at Haridwar.
