It is situated far away from the humdrum existence at the Okla Barrage over Yamuna River in Noida, Gautam Buddhanagar District on Delhi Uttar Pradesh State Border.
In 1990 3.5 acres of land over Yamuna River was designated for the Bird Santuary by the Uttar Pradesh Government under the act of Wild Life Protection Act 1972.
According to the history the construction was started in 1874 and Major GeneralH.P. W. . Hutson recorded birds here in 1943 during his Ornological survey .
