  1. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

    Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is one of the well-known bird sanctuaries of this region. This bird sanctuary shelters many migratory birds from Siberia.     Being located at a distance of 2 kilometers from Kumarakom, this place serves as an ideal picnic spot. The Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls are located two kilometers away from Kumarakom. Have a wonderful and peaceful time with your loved ones. You can feel relaxed while watching the waters of the fall flowing down the cliff from about 100 feet high.

    Kumarakom has a famous island called Pathiramanal, nestled on the Vembanad Lake. This island covers an area of 10 acres in size. Pathiramanal is a never to miss place in Kumarakom and a treat for bird watchers, nature enthusiasts and photographers.
