Markha Valley Trek in Ladakh
Markha Valley is the central valley of Ladakh. This valley is formed by the Markha River. Markha Valley Trek proceed along Markha River through one of one of the world's highest inhabited plateaus region called little Tibet in Ladakh. From this region, one can have a clear view of the Great Himalayan, Ladakh and Zanskar ranges. Markha Valley Trek covers crossing of three passes of Stok, Stok La and Kongmaru at high altitudes. This Trekking Tour also covers camping at the base of Kng Yutze peak of Nimaling.
On this Trekking trail, scenic splendor of the landscape is abundant. Trekkers pass through the willow groves, patches of wild roses and pastel canyons decorated with multi-hued prayer flags furling with winds. En-route, you will find nomadic families inhabiting the region and their herds of yaks. There is also a small monastery to visit where butter lamps are lit.
