 Maharajas' Express Deluxe Cabin

The cabins of Maharajas’ Express is divided into four types, based on the style of luxury preferred by the tourists. The entry-level luxury car of the train is called the ‘Maharajas Express Deluxe Cabin’.

In a comparative term, this is the least luxurious cabin in the train. Given a peek to the cabin with lavishing interior, live television, international telephone facility, en-suite bathroom, wardrobe and others, you would beg to differ.

Maharajas’ Express holds 20 Deluxe Cabins. Among those, 12 have twin beds and 8 holds double beds. Apart from the style of bedding, the other features of all the Deluxe Cabins are the same.

The 20 cabins are located in four train coaches. Each coach will hold four Deluxe Cabins. The coaches of the Deluxe cabins are named after the precious stones of India like Hakki, Firoza, Katela, Beruz and Pitoniya.

Maharajas' Express Junior Suite Cabin

This is the second level of luxury in the train. The train holds just 18 Junior Suites. Out of those Junior Suites, twelve are twin bedded cabins and the rest have double beds. The size of the beds are similar to that of the Deluxe cabin.

However, the overall size of the suite is larger, thereby giving more space to walk around inside the coach. The Junior Suites are tad more luxurious than the Deluxe cabins with additional amenities inside the suites and more facilities in the train coach.

These 18 cabins are located in six train coaches. Thus, each coach holds three Junior Suites.

Just like the Deluxe Cabins, the coaches of Junior Suites are also named after the precious stones of India like Moonga, Moti, Panna, Manik, Gomed and Pukhraj. In addition to the Junior Suites, the coaches containing the Junior Suite also holds a mini pantry, which is serviced by a valet.

 Maharajas' Express Suites Cabin

The Maharajas' Express holding the Suites are named as Heera and Neelam. As you see, the name of the cabins are provided with gems, which are increasing value. For instance, Heera (Diamond) is the name of coach of Suites and Pukhraj (Sapphire) is the name of the coach of Junior Suites.

Obviously Diamond is more valuable than Sapphire. The train has given more thought to the name factor of the coaches. As indicated earlier, there are only two coaches of Maharajas' Express Suites and in total, only four suites. All the suites are double bedded. The size of the double bed is the same as that of the other cabins. The coaches have a mini pantry.

The size of the Suites is a little larger than the Junior Suites, thanks to the additional en-suite facilities like mini-bar, bathtub and others. The cabin is separated into living room and bedroom. The living room is fitted with antique styled upholstery to give a royal feel to the vacation.
