Location: The market is located opposite VSNL office building, presently known as Tata Communications. An taxi or an Uber can take you till here, but you might have to walk to this busy market area, which isn't far from here.

3. Chor Bazaar

Famous For: Named after the English East India Company mispronounced 'Shor Bazar’, the name stuck and is still called the Chor Bazar. This bazaar has the cheapest of goods and the best of bargains. Some of the stalls are known to sell stolen goods, thus living up to its new reputation.

Best Time to Visit: Chor Bazaar is opened each day from 11 in the morning to 7 in the evening, except on Fridays. So the best time to visit this place would be the early afternoon.

Location: Mutton Street, between SV Patel and Moulana Shaukat Ali Roads, near Mohammad Ali Road in south Mumbai

4. Palladium

Famous For: If you've got a heavy wallet, and you're a hard shopaholic then this is the ideal place for you. With branded fashionable clothes to expensive tasty food, this place can make your skin crawl with excitement and delight.

Best Time to Visit: The mall is opened from 10 AM to 11 PM everyday and the best time to visit it would be in the afternoons or late evenings.

Location: This is located in the same compound as Phoenix and can be reached quickly by a taxi or an Uber.

5. The Arcade Shopping Centre

Famous For: Looking for a special gift for that special someone? Or you wish to pick up a special souvenir? Then The Arcade Mall is a must visit. Gifts and artificial jewelry ranging from reasonable prices and clothes that make one fluster up with excitement can be found here.

Best Time to Visit: 10PM to 7 PM are the official working hours, but the best time to visit is sometime during the morning and in the evening, when your mood is still and you have a bit of handy shopping left in your bucket list.

Location: Located near Cuffe Parade, this mall can be easily found as its nearer to the Airport.

6. Crawford Market

Famous For: Officially renamed as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Mandai, The Crawford market is an old brick market which takes onlookers to the old post colonial times. Originally a market for fruits and vegetables, the market now houses food stalls, toy stalls and an entire section in particular for pets of different breeds and all odd shapes and sizes.

Best Time to Visit:Usually opened from the early hours of the morning till late evening. On Sundays, the market stays open only till the early afternoon. A good time to visit this market would be during the day time when it's bright and sunny and the best of pets are still active.

Location: It's near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Victoria Terminus) railway station.

6. CP Tank

Famous For: Cawasji Patel Tank, better known as CP Tank is known for its bangles. You'll find bangles with different colours and different sizes here. You could even bring along the saree you want to wear a bangle with, and the shopkeeper will give you the perfect matching bangles.

Best Time to Visit:It's open each day, from morning till night. People normally don't spend much time here, so the best time to visit would be during the later part of the afternoon.

Location: This market is located to the northwest of Mumbadevi temple.

7. Book Street

Famous For: If you're a book lover, then this place is for you. Hundreds of books can be found in the many stalls that line this street. It's known for a good place to bargain for second hand books and people can also name a price and sell their own books to the owners.

Best Time to Visit:The book stores are open from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. People can visit the bookstores at anytime and buy whatever book they like.

Location: Between Flora Fountain And Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, Fort, South Mumbai.
