Overview
Kaziranga, located in the Northeastern state of Assam in the plains of the Brahmaputra River's south bank. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 for its unique natural environment. This national park covers an area of 42,996 hectares (106,250 acres), popular for its one horned rhino in the world. It is a protected area in the state of Assam.
