The Eravikulam National Park: It encompasses moist evergreen forests and grassy hilltops in the Western Ghats lies 13 km northeast of Munnar. It is the home to one of the world's rarest mountain goats.
Mattupetty Dam Mattupetty is another place of interest situated at an altitude of 1700m above sea level in Munnar. It is better known for its storage masonry dam and the beautiful lake offering boat rides to get a view of the surrounding hills and landscape. Mattupetty’s fame is also attributed to Indo–Swiss livestock Project dairy farm.
Tea Museum: Munnar has a legacy of origins and evolution of tea plantations. Preserving and showcasing some exquisite and interesting aspects of the genesis and growth of tea plantations in Kerala high ranges. Tata Tea exclusively opened a tea museum to honor the legacy of Munnar housing curios, photographs, and machinery. These all convey the story of the Origins and growth of tea plantations.
