Today post delicious breakfast, we will proceed for a full day excursion tour of Shillong. Popularly known as ‘The Gleneagle of the East’ - Shillong is bounded by the majestic Khasi Hills. This gorgeously surreal town offers some of the most fantastic tourist attractions.
The tour will commence with a visit to Ward’s Lake that is famous for boating and garden walks.
We will then head on to visit Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures - an institution that merges museum wind research along with a publication center whose mission is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the North-Eastern states of India.
Later, we will proceed to explore Lady Hydari Park that has a vast stretch of an exquisite collection of flowers and roses. This typical Japanese styled park offers a mesmerizing sight. Next, we will visit the Mini Zoo situated in the vicinity of the park that is home to a wide range of mammals, birds, and reptiles.
Later, we proceed towards Golf Course - one of the most massive Golf courses in Asia. This fantastic 18 hole golf course stretches across a surging valley lined up with Rhododendron trees and pine groves.
The evening can be spent at the State Museum that offers a splendid display of the rich heritage and lifestyle of the citizens of Meghalaya. Shillong town is surrounded by some breathtaking waterfalls, beautiful valleys, and majestic landscapes that offer a picturesque view of nature’s beauty.
Your final destination of the day will be the Elephant Falls, followed by a visit to the Shillong Peak that offers a splendid panoramic view of the entire valley and city.
