Tour Itinerary

After you reach Amritsar, you will be received by Travelogy India representative and driven to the hotel. After checking into your room, you will be left to rest for the day.

Overnight stay at Amritsar.


After breakfast, you will be taken for Amritsar Sightseeing. The first destination is the Golden Temple, which is also called the Darbar Sahib or Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara. This is an important holy destination for Sikhs and is a delightful architecture to explore. The temple gets its name from the gold plating that covers the structure.

The next stop in the tour is the Jallianwala Bagh memorial. This memorial garden is a reminder of the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place in 1919. British officials opened fire upon a group of men, women, and children, who were gathered in an enclosed site.

Later, you will be driven to a border village, Wagah. Wagah is famous for being the border between India and Pakistan. You can find an inter-country railway station and goods transfer terminal in this village. The best part of Wagah Village is the border ceremony, which takes place every evening.

After watching the border ceremony, you will be driven back to your hotel. Overnigt stay at Amritsar.


After breakfast, you will be taken on a road trip to Dharamshala. Once you reach Dharamshala, you will be checked into a hotel. Relax for some time.

Later, you will be taken to the local markets for souvenir hunting. Back to hotel.

After breakfast, your city sightseeing tour starts a little early. You will be taken to the famous Dalai Lama Temple. This temple complex holds a museum, monastery, library, stupas, and a cafe.

Later, you will be driven to Bhagsunag Waterfall, which is 1 km away from Bhagsunag Temple. You will be embarking long walking trail through scenic nature to reach Bhagsunag Falls.

After enjoying the sight of the waterfalls plummeting into a small rocky pool, you will be visiting Norbulingka Institute. This 1995 institute was inaugurated by Kim Yeshi and Kelsang to preserve the Tibetan culture with artistic forms and literature.

Back to hotel. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.


After breakfast, you will be driven to Shimla. Once you reach Shimla, you will be checked into a hotel and relax for the day.

After breakfast, you will be taken to visit Sankat Mochan and Jakhu temples. These are dedicated to the Monkey God, Lord Hanuman. Later, you will be visiting Christ Church, Ridge Road, and State Museum.

In the evening, you will be driven to Lakkar Bazaar, Mall Road, and Tibetan Market to enjoy shopping for souvenirs like wooden toys, handicrafts, clothing, artifacts, and others.

Back to hotel. Overnight stay at Shimla.


After breakfast, you will be checked out and taken on a interesting toy train ride from Shimla to Kalka. (10:35 to 16:10).

From Kalka train station, you can board a train to reach Delhi.
