Tour Itinerary

After reaching Paro airport, once you complete your immigration formalities and baggage collection procedure, you will be greeted by our representative. You will be driven to your hotel in Thimphu, capital Bhutan.

The journey will have an en-route stop at Chuzom. Chuzom is the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. The site is home to a Tibetan, a Nepalese and a Bhutanese Stupa.

Later, drive to visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) the largest statue in the country situated at the breathtaking Thimpu valley. You can also explore the main streets and market area of the town by foot.

Back to hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu.


After breakfast, a short drive to Pangri Zampa. It is a 16th century monastery with a school for Buddhist cultures and astrological studies. The following sight seeing of the day will include:

Textile Museum: With exhibits of major weaving techniques, local dress and textiles woven Bhutanese people.

National Library: With collection of archaic texts, manuscripts, ancient texts, as well as modern academic books and printing blocks for prayer flags.

Institute for Zorig Chusum: One of the popular Arts & Crafts School in the world.

Folk Heritage Museum: With exhibits depicting the rich Bhutanese Folk heritage and rural history.

Post lunch there will be a visit to Memorial Chorten - The stupa built in the memory of Bhutan's third King, also regarded as Father of modern Bhutan.

Later visit Changangkha Lhakhan -: A perfect blend of 12th century temple and monastic school with rich historical significance.

Overnight stay at Thimphu.


After breakfast, drive up to Dochu-la pass situated at 10,130 ft.  The beauty of the Dochula Pass is 108 stupas, which have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk.

Then drive onto the valley of Gangtey, which is one of the most serene and unspoiled regions in Bhutan. A short visit to the Gangtey Monastery.

Next stop: Phobjikha valle - The Phobjikha valley, situated on the floor of Gangtey, is the winter home of the black necked cranes. The valley is also blessed with two beautiful meandering rivers, NakayChhu and Gay Chhu.

Last stop: Black Neck Crane Information Centre. Centre with an observation room equipped with high power telescope and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. The center is a storehouse of information on the natural and cultural history of the area.

Overnight stay at Gangtey.


After breakfast, visit the famous monastery Gangtey Goempa. This 17th century monastery is the largest Nyingmapa monastery in Western Bhutan, which is home to a central gonpa, residentials for monks and meditation centers.

The visit will be followed by an adventurous walking trek to Gangtey Nature Trail through the beautiful Phobjikha valley. The trek takes you through flower meadows and beautiful dense forests.

After lunch break, drive onward to Punakha. On arrival, check in to hotel.

After breakfast, a beautiful hike takes one to the regal Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, which was designed as a magical tool to remove negative forces. It is a perfect affluence of tradition and architecture.

After lunch, Punakha Dzong built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Built at the beautiful junction of the Phochu and Mochu rivers, it is popularly known as “Palace of Great Happiness”.

A short excursion to Chimi Lhakhang. The Chimi Lhakhang is also known as the temple of fertility. Couples without children come here to get blessed with children. The trail takes you through rice fields of the valley and leads to a hillock where the temple is situated.

Evening will be to explore the Wangdue town. Overnight stay at Punakha.


After breakfast, your drive to Paro from Punakha will begin. The first halt will be at Simtokha Dzong. It is the oldest fortress of the country built in 1627, which now serves as a School for Buddhist studies.

Drive continues to Paro and check into the hotel.

Post lunch, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, which is home to the National Museum with extensive collections of antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons, armors, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.

Next awaits a short walk to visit Rinpung Dzong(Paro Dzong), which holds a fascinating history in its embrace. It is home to a beautiful gallery with paintings illustrating Buddhist lore.

Evening will fetch you some time to explore the Paro city centre and indulge in little shopping.

Overnight stay at Paro.


After breakfast, a road excursion will await your presence to the famous Taktshang Monastery or Tiger’s Nest. The Monastery clings to a cliff, which is 3120 meters above the Paro valley floor. The whole trail is filled hill magnificent views of hills and mountains coupled with lush greeneries.

Drive onward to Paro. Enroute stoppage at the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang.It is one of the popular temples built in the Himalayas by the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. It has great historical significance as it marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan.

Drive onward to Paro and overnight at the hotel in Paro.


After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to depart from Paro. Our representative will help you with all the formalities to provide you a hassle free experience.
