8 Days - Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Trek from Jaipur

Arrival at Dehradun and drive towards Rishikesh. After reaching Rishikesh, enjoy the pleasant and breathtaking views of the city. It is quite popular as the “Yoga Capital of India”. Here numerous temples, ashrams, and the beauty of nature impress you. After exploring the city, by evening attend for the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.

After having your breakfast, start your journey from Rishikesh to Joshimath via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli. Once you arrive at Govindghat, check-in to your accommodated hotel. Take rest for a while and had dinner and take a good sleep.

Overnight stay in the hotel.

By early morning, you will be driven to Ghangaria. To reach Ghangharia, you need to trek for 14kms, which takes nearly 4 to 5 hours. In trekking, you will come through beautiful sights of villages, lush greenery, forests, and picturesque landscapes. Trekking to Ghangharia through these sites will be very exciting.

Once you arrive at Ghangharia check-in to your hotel and take rest.

After having breakfast get ready for the trekking to Valley of Flowers but this time you have to pack lunch also. The trekking route to Valley of Flowers is steep but trekking is not too hard. Once you reach the valley of flowers, you will feel stuck in amusement with the presence of the valley flourished with various kinds of flowers.

To capture the beauty of the valley, you can take the camera but you have to pay. The valley is home to 498 various species of flowers like orchids, daisies, primulas, poppies, marigold, etc and animals like snow leopard, Himalayan Black bear, red fox, Himalayan goral, gets shelter.

If you are lucky you can spot these animals too and the views of the valley flowing with Pushpawati river seem lovely. Finally, get back to Ghangaria and enjoy the overnight stay in the hotel.

Post breakfast, start your trek to Hemkund. From Ghangaria, Hemkund Sahib is located 6kms far away to reach there it takes nearly 3 to 4 hours. Trekking to Hemkund Sahib is a little bit tough because it is mostly covered with snow. During winters, this Gurudwara will be closed. For Hindus and Sikhs, this is Gurudwara is very precious.

The major attraction here is the Parikrama, which is a 2km wide water pool and a holy dip in this water washes out all our sins. It is a great belief devotees believe. Another small temple dedicated to Lord Lakshman is the other attraction here. After completing the tour, return to Ghangaria.

Later, enjoy the dinner and take good sleep in the hotel.

After enjoying your breakfast, start your walk back to Govindghat. Once again enjoy the scenic views of the valley and speed up your journey to Govindhgat.

Enjoy the breakfast and drive to Rishikesh. After reaching Rishikesh, take rest and enjoy the overnight stay in the hotel.

Finally, drive to Dehradun airport and take a flight to Jaipur.
