Overview
The Valley of flowers is located in North Chamoli in Uttarakhand at the sea level of above 3,658 metres high altitude. In 1931, its presence was disclosed in unintentional manner by three mountaineers Eric Shipton, Frank. S. Smythe and RL Holdsworth while returning from Mount Kamet.
Nowadays, Valley of flowers is the national park as well as well-known place in Indian Country due to presence of its wildflowers. It is located in western of Himalayas where shrubs of alpine and various extinct species of it can be seen. In our words, it’s a place of heaven on earth.
On the other side, there is place called “Hemkund” which is located at an altitude of 4,500 metres high above the level of sea. These are the significant places for Hindus as well as Sikhs which is devoted to Tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Sikh.
On the banks of Hemkund in Chamoli at Uttarakhand, holy Sikh Gurudwara lies which is located in the heart of region. It comprises of 7 snow cap crest and splendid beautiful glaciers. Valley of flowers and Hemkund Place gives an unmemorable experience when visited.
