Tour Itinerary

Arrive in Delhi where our tour representative will receive and escort you to the respective hotel for check-in.


Today morning our travel guide will take you to the Airport for flight to Leh. After reaching in Leh by Indian Airlines / Jet Airways flights you will be escorted to hotel. Full day rest in the hotel for proper acclimatization to the high altitude atmosphere.


After breakfast, our travel guide takes you for a local sightseeing of Leh. Visit the Sankar monastery, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Monastery. Overnight Stay at Leh.

Leh Palace - Built in 1430, the Leh Palace is popular among tourists for its large statue of Lord Buddha called Chamba by Ladakhi. The statue represents the future Buddha according to Lamas.

Sankar Gompa - Located at a distance of 3-kms, the monastery has a good collection of miniature paintings. This can also be visited in the evening as it is well lit.


Today our guide takes you to an exciting sightseeing of Stok, Shey, Thiskey and Hemis Monasteries.

Shey - Set on the eastern bank of the river Indus, the small village Shey is just about 15 kms from Leh. The place is popular for the ancient palace and the monastery. The Shey Palace was the residence of the royal family built in the 17th century. Also you can see the ruins of a fortress present above the palace. The Shey Monastery also has a three storey image of Buddha Sakyamuni made of copper gilt.

Thiksey Monastery - Located on top of a hill, the monastery is an excellent example of Ladakhi architecture. This contains several stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings and a large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings.

Hemis Monastery - Built in 1630, this is the biggest and most famous monastery in Ladakh. It is at a distance of 49 kms from Leh and 30 kms from Thiksey.

Stok - This is a small village located at a distance of 14 kms from the Leh. Stok Palace and Stok Monastery are prime attractions of this place. The Stok Palace is now the residence of the royal family members.


Today we will visit Alchi and Likir Monasteries. These two are situated near Saspolon the Srinagar-Leh road. Inside the Alchi monastery, one can see a number of miniaturing paintings depicting Buddha. The Likir monastery has a good collection of clay images of Buddha in different forms, manuscripts and thankas. However, the 1000 years old wall painting makes your visit more worthwhile.


After breakfast our guide takes you to the Leh Airport for return flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi, welcome and transfer to the hotel. After taking some rest, our guide will take you to some famous monuments in Delhi including Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple and the newly constructed Akshardham Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.


Early morning after breakfast our team gives you a warm farewell at the hotel. Tour representative takes all the care in timely transfer to the IGI Airport for your onward destination.
