Later, spend some leisure time at Calicut Beach and indulge in local delicacies such as the famous Kozhikodan Halwa and crispy banana chips. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Calicut.

After breakfast, drive towards the green hill station of Wayanad. On the way, stop at the breathtaking Lakkidi View Point, known as the “Gateway to Wayanad,” which offers panoramic views of the valley and winding roads. Continue your journey and visit Pookode Lake, a natural freshwater lake surrounded by forests where you can enjoy boating.

Later, head to the famous Edakkal Caves, which are adorned with prehistoric rock carvings dating back thousands of years. Overnight stay will be in Wayanad.

Today after breakfast, set out for a full-day exploration of Wayanad. Begin with an early morning safari at Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, where you may spot elephants, deer, bison, and a variety of bird species. Later, visit Soochipara Waterfalls, a three-tiered waterfall set amidst dense forests, perfect for photography and short treks.

In the evening, enjoy a guided walk through spice plantations, learning about the locally grown pepper, cardamom, coffee, and other spices. Return to your resort for an overnight stay in Wayanad.

After breakfast, drive towards Kannur, a coastal town rich in history and culture. On arrival, visit the 16th-century St. Angelo’s Fort built by the Portuguese, which offers commanding views of the sea. Later, spend some relaxed time at the pristine Payyambalam Beach, known for its golden sands and calm atmosphere. Depending on the season (October to May), you may also get the chance to witness a Theyyam performance, a vibrant ritual dance that forms the essence of Kannur’s cultural identity.

After breakfast, experience the charm of Kerala’s backwaters with a full-day cruise in Nileshwaram or Valiyaparamba Backwaters. Board a traditional houseboat and enjoy sailing through tranquil coconut-fringed lagoons and small island villages. Relish authentic Kerala meals served on board as you drift along the serene waters.

Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the calm surroundings. Overnight stay will be either on the houseboat or in a resort by the backwaters.
