12 Days - South India Honeymoon Tour

As soon as you arrive at Coimbatore airport on the first day of your tour; our escorts will take you the hotel for stay in. After some refreshments are served; we will take you to see some of the famous tourist destinations.

The first place is Dhyanalinga which is basically a meditation centre. Sit here for some time and relax. The second place is Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park. Located in Anamallai Hills, it’s got some of the most well kept fauna of India.

Evening we shall return to the hotel for night stay.

On the second day of the tour, we will set off to Ooty – the beautiful hill station of Tamilnadu. Its famous for its coffee plantations and spices. On reaching here, the first place we will visit the Tea Plantation. See the entire process of Tea plantation here.

After this we shall move on to see Mudumalai – the ages old temple. Soon after lunch, we shall move on to see Ooty Lake – take a boat ride here as you enjoy the waters.

After lunch, we shall take a roundabout of the city going around places like Avalanche Lake, Botanical Garden, Kamaraj Sagar Dam, Ooty Golf Course and Stone House.

In the night we shall return to the hotel for stay.

Coonor – the next destination on the list is just a 40 minutes drive from Ooty. So, soon after finishing breakfast we will set off to Coonoor.

One reaching there, we the 1st place we shall visit the Heritage Train of Ooty. Take a ride in this small toy train which also carries the World Heritage Site status and is also called Nilgiri Mountain Railway; is a unique experience.

While you are travelling on the train; enjoy the scenic beauty of Sim’s Park. After this, we will take you to Droog Fort and Law Falls. Soon after the lunch see Droog Fort and Dolphin’s Nose.

In the evening, take a walk in the local market and for dinner come along for night stay.

Next day, before the sun comes out; we will move out to reach Kodaikanal – which is 6kms drive from Ooty. On reaching here we will take you the hotel where you will have your breakfast.

After breakfast, we shall move on to see Palni Hills. Palni Hills is a cool mountain range filled with Shola forest region, orchids, loya, Nilgiri Thar and grizzled giant squirrel.

After having lunch here, we will move on to see Kurinji Andavar Temple Falls and Dolphin’s nose. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Next day, after breakfast we will explore more of Kodaikanal.

Enjoy the scenic beauty at Kodaikanal Lake and boating in one of the most beautiful lakes around. After this we will move on to see Bear Shola Falls and the Solar Observatory.

Lunch is at the hotel and evenings at ease. Overnight stay at hotel.

This day has been left for you to enjoy on your own. Enjoy the beauty of this place. Take a walk in the market, look at local souvenir’s, buy what you wish to or simply sit and admire the natural beauty of this place.

Kodaikanal is famous for pottery, hand – made chocolates, spices with medicinal properties and herbal and Ayurvedic oils. You can buy these or simply get to know interesting facts about them from the local vendors by interacting with them.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Kodaikanal to Munnar; our next destination is just 4 hours drive. So, soon after breakfast we move on by road to see this beautiful place. This Hill Station holds in itself a number of surprises for you.

We will reach here in the afternoon and so after lunch and a little rest, we will explore more. First of all we will see the Nyayamakad – a land filled with breathtaking waterfalls. After this we will see Devikulam.

Overnight stay at Munnar.

Munnar is the place which is filled with a number of places to see. So, in the first half of the day we will take you around to see Eravikulam National Park (closed in February & March). It’s filled with a number of Endangered Species of fauna.

Post lunch we shall take you to see Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi and Echo Point. In the late evening, explore the local market of Munnar. Shop here for Fresh Tea and local stuff.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

On reaching Periyar we will take you to the hotel for little refreshments. After this we will go on to explore Periyar Tiger Reserve. See the wild life here. Post lunch we will explore more of it. Periyar or Thekkady is the centre for Kalari.

One reaching here, the first thing we will show you is this South Indian Martial Art form performance. After this we will take you to Elephant Junction – where you can see the Maharajah in his home.

Explore how the Maharajah’s are taken care of!  Overnight stay at the hotel.

Kumarakom is the land of Backwaters and Ketuvallumns. We will leave before the sun comes out, as we will first take you to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.

Enjoy watching thousands of birds here; after which breakfast will be served in the hotel. After a little rest, we shall take you to the beautiful Aruvikkuzhi waterfall. Sit and enjoy here your lunch.

After lunch we will move on to see Thirunkkara Mahadevar Temple, Bay Island Drift Museum and Ettumanoor Mahadevar Temple. Night stay at the hotel only.

This one entire day we have kept for you to stay in the backwaters at Vembanad Lake. So, after the morning tea, we will take you straight to your Houseboat or Kettuvulumns.

Sit and relax, enjoy your breakfast and lunch in the boat and watch the scenic beauty of the lake as the boat slowly rows in the water. Dinner and overnight stay at Houseboat.

After breakfast, we will take you a round – about tour of Alleppy after which you will be dropped at Cochin Airport for further journey.
