Best Time to Visit Jaisalmer

Summer Season (March - August)

Jaisalmer holds the desert region of the state. Summers are scorching and very long in this region. Summer starts in March and ends by August. The temperature can go as high as 45 degree C (even more in the sand dunes). You will not be able to find service providers or shops to enjoy activities. Visiting the Thar Desert during the summer season can be dangerous. Most of the adventure activities will be temporarily stopped. However, if you are planning to visit during this season; be prepared for skin burns, dehydration and other problems.

Monsoon Season (August - September)

Rainy season is very short-lived and sometimes, the region does not receive any rainfall at all. The mild showers do a good job of increases the humidity of the area. Usually monsoon starts in August and ends in September. Sometimes, they are shorter too. The region will not be at prime beauty during monsoon season and it is better avoid this season. Winter Season (October - February)

This is the best time to visit Jaisalmer and this is the prime tourism season too. The temperature is mild and pleasing during the day and can reach 7 or less degrees in the night.
