In Meghalaya state, Cherrapunji is one of the wettest places in the world and the only place in India receiving rain throughout the year. This unique and beautiful town is located in the East Khasi hills 50kms to the southwest of Shillong. Cherrapunji is also known as Churra or Sohra, it means “the land of oranges”. Moreover, the cliffs of Cherrapunji offers fantastic views of Bangladesh plains.
In sightseeing of Cherrapunji, you will visit Arwah caves, Mwasmai caves, Nahkhalikai falls, Rama Krishna Mission Museum, Seven sister falls, Dainthlen waterfalls, and Eco-park.

Kaziranga National Park is a famous world heritage site in Assam for its massive population of the Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. Apart from One-horned Rhinoceros, Kaziranga is also home to Tigers, Elephants, Wild water buffalo, and Swamp deer.

This National Park is a heritage site and also the oldest park located in Assam. Kaziranga National Park located on the banks of River Brahmaputra is a great natural biodiversity habitat in Assam. Here you can sport various endangered animal species and birds. Especially for One-horned Rhinoceros, Kaziranga is quite famous.
For birdwatchers, this national park is a paradise because it is home to nearly 500 species of birds. You can spot Crested Serpent Eagle, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Whistling Teal, Bar-headed goose, Bengal Florican, Herons, and Pelicans, etc many bird species are getting shelter.

Post breakfast, your drive to Guwahati will start. Guwahati is like a gateway to the Northeast region. It is the largest and most popular cosmopolitan city in this region. After having your breakfast, start your sightseeing tour in Guwahati. Begin with by visiting Kamakhya temple, which is a popular temple dedicated to goddess Kamakhya, the incarnation of Sati. This temple is located on Nilachal hill. According to Shiv Purana, the yoni of Goddess Sati had fallen here when Lord Vishnu cut her body into 51 pieces with his Sudarshan Chakra to save the world from Lord Shiva’s tandava nrittya, it means dance of destruction.
