In the year 1931, Valley of Flowers was unexpectedly discovered by Frank S Smythe, Eric Shipton, and R L Holdsworth, three mountaineers who were returning from their journey to Mount Kamet. Being located at the height of 3658 meters Valley of Flowers has now become a National Park. This place is also famous as a world heritage site and the house of several types of wildflowers. It is in the western Himalayas, which is renowned for alpine shrub and endangered species. Overall it feels like heaven on earth.
Hemkund is at an altitude of 4500 meters from the sea level that is considered as a holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Sikhs as well. It is dedicated to Guru Gobind Sikh, the tenth Sikh Guru. The sacred Sikh Gurudwara is located at the centre of this region on the banks of Hemkund in Chamoli, which is in Uttarakhand. This place is surrounded by 7 snow cap crest and an incredibly rimy glacier. Tour to the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund surely offers you a memorable experience.

Have an early breakfast and start your journey from Rishikesh. Drive to Joshimath on NH58 via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli. On arrival at Govindghat, check-in at the rest-house.

Drive towards Ghangaria in the morning to start your journey to the Valley of Flowers. Experience the trek of 14 km through deep forest and beautiful villages. Enjoy the beauty of magnificent waterfalls and lush greenery throughout the journey. It will take nearly 4-5 hours to reach Ghangaria.
Upon arrival, check-in at the pre-booked guest house in Ghangaria. Have dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After a healthy breakfast, your trek begins. Also, pack your lunch. Start your trek towards Valley of Flowers from Ghangaria. The trek from Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers is actually easy, but it is a little steep. You can carry your camera to the Valley of Flowers if you only pay.
You will fall in love with the arresting landscape. As you trek further, you will be amazed by the beauty of the valley. You can reach the topmost peak of the Valley of Flowers within a few hours. Pushpawati river is originated from the Valley of Flowers. Explore the different spot points of the valley and then return to Ghangaria.

Post breakfast, the journey starts towards Hemkund Sahib. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach. The distance between Hemkund Sahib and Ghangaria is 6 km. Due to the vast snowfalls during winter, this place becomes closed from November to April. Hemkund Sahib is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for Hindus as well as Sikhs. This place is devoted to the tenth Sikh Guru.
After 2 km parikrama of Hemkund, you can take a dip in the holy water. It is believed the water is capable of washing all sins. Pilgrims are likely to have a bath in the lake.
You can visit the small temple which is present at Hemkund Sahib and dedicated to Lord Lakshman. Spend some peaceful time at the Gurudwara and return to Ghangaria.

After breakfast, you will walk down to Govindghat. Explore the beauty of the valley and enjoy the enticing charm of Himalayas.
Have breakfast and drive to Dehradun airport from Rishikesh to fly to Ahmedabad.
Right after breakfast, there will be a drive to Rishikesh. After reaching Rishikesh, you will spend the day in a relaxing mood.
