Overview

India being a tropical heaven attracts numerous migration birds during winter. Apart from the migration birds, numerous swamps and diverse landscape promote bird population in the country making India, a better place for bird watching. Bird watching tour covers top bird watching spots and sanctuary in the country. The tour stretches for ten days and eleven nights.

Tour Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi

Escort from Delhi airport and check into the hotel. The rest of the morning is free for leisure activities. By late afternoon, the sightseeing starts. The tour covers ancient and modern architecture of Delhi. Most notable tourist spot is QutubMinar, a heritage site.

Day 02 : Delhi – Agra – Chambal

After early morning breakfast, you would be escorted to the railway station to board train to Agra. From Agra, road trip to Chambal starts. Reach Chambal by afternoon for a visit to Sarus Crane conservation area. This sanctuary is famous for spotting Sarus Crane breeds in wetlands.

Day 03 : Chambal Sanctuary

Early morning visit to Chambal Sanctuary for a boat ride to spot bird species like greater thicknee, Indian skimmer, comb duck, kingfisher, flamingo, brahmani duck, fishing eagles and others. The afternoon is free for resting or leisure activities. If desired, you can take up nature walks. By early morning, a walking tour to spot fox, hedgehog, palm civet cat, jungle hare, fruit bat, Indian striped hyena and others.

Day 04 : Chambal - Bharatpur

Travel to Bharatpur from Chambal. Check into lodge inside Keoladeo bird sanctuary by early evening. Rest of the day is free. Overnight stay in the lodge. Enquire About This Trip

Day 05 : Bharatpur

Cycle rickshaw trip through the sanctuary. The sanctuary is famous among birdwatchers and nature lovers. The sanctuary holds 370 and more species of birds including migration birds.

Day 06 : Bharatpur

Return to the sanctuary for animal spotting. A guided trip through the sanctuary to spot wild boar, otter, mongoose and others.

Day 07 : Bharatpur – Agra

Travel to Agra through FatehpurSikri, an ancient Mughal City that is deserted and in ruins. Trip to Taj Mahal for sightseeing. Transfer to railway station by evening to board a train to Piparya.

Day 08 : Piparya

Travel to Satpura national park. Afternoon walking safari through the park for birdwatching. This is the only national park that allows walking safari. Overnight stay in Piparya.

Day 09 : Satpura national park

Kayak trip in the Tawa reservoir for spotting birds. A jeep safari in the afternoon to spot mammals in the park. Overnight stay in Piparya.

Day 10 : Satpura national park

Morning jeep safari in the park to spot birdlife and explore places. A few mammals can also be spotted. Late afternoon boat ride in the reservoir. Overnight stay in Piparya.

Day 11 : Piparya – Bhopal

Travel from Piparya to Bhopal. Escort to the international airport for your departure flight.
