Let's start your pilgrimage journey to Uttarakhand. In the beginning you will visit the well known holy city "Haridwar" and the place where most of the people are coming on weekends. It is more than a tourist place where people can take a holy bath according to Hinduism rituals. Then further heading to the next pilgrimage place "Uttarkashi" , a place where you can visit the famous Lord Shiva temple.
After that, finally moving to Gangotri, a very important destination and one of the holy regions among the Char Dham. At last your journey will reboot with popular rafting and trekking destination "Rishikesh", a mesmerising place surrounded by lush green dense forest and mountains.
Rishikesh is also known as the Yoga capital of India and is the actual reason there are several Ashram's where tourists across the nation and other parts of the World are coming to participate in the meditation and Yoga programmes. itinerary
You will be pick up anywhere from Delhi and then drive to Haridwar. On arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the evening witness the traditional Ganges Aarti at the famous highlight of Haridwar "Har Ki Pauri".
Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Later visit Vishwanath Temple - Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-built in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is situated at the heart of the town.
Also visit Shakti Temple - Right in front of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple. It has a big ‘Trishul (Trident)’ of about 6 meters in height and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different views about the making of this, the upper part of it seems to be made up of iron and the lower one is of copper.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Early morning (packed breakfast) move to Gangotri. On the way at Gangotri take a sacred dip in Garam Kund. Further drive to Gangotri via the beautiful Harsil Valley.
Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin.
Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that rest for some time in the lovely surroundings. Also visit Gangotri Temple - The temple was built by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, and is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.
Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then drive to Haridwar. En-route you will visit famous sites of Rishikesh like Laxman Jhula, Triveni Ghat and Parmarth Niketan Ashram.
In the evening, attend the Ganges Aarti. Further continue your journey to Haridwar. On arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and then proceed to visit Chandi Devi Temple - located at the hilltop and dedicated to one of the forms of Maa Durga "Chandi", where you can go either trek or electric cable cart.
Later visit Mansa Devi Temple - a famous Hindu temple of Manasa Devi. Also visit Saptrishi Ashram - a famous place of 7 sages and ideal place for meditation.
Later visit other places like Doodhadhari Barfani Temple, Maya Devi Temple, Bharat Mata Mandir, Gaurishankar Mahadev Temple and replica of Vaishno Devi Temple.
Back to hotel and overnight stay at Haridwar.
Post breakfast, you will be transfer to Haridwar Railway Station to reach Delhi.
