Upon reaching the airport or railway station of Guwahati, you will be received by the tour representative, who will take you on a mesmerizing road trip to Shillong (122km 0 3 hours). On the way, you will be stopping at Umiam Lake. This is the largest artificial lake in North East India.
Upon reaching Shillong, you will be checked into a hotel. You will be spending the night in the hotel.
After early breakfast, you will be checked out of the hotel and taken on a romantic road trip through scenic beauties of deep valleys and rolling hills to Cherrapunji (54 km - 1hour and 40 minutes).
Upon reaching Cherrapunji, you will be visiting dreamy destinations like Seven Sister Falls, Arwah Caves, Nohkalikai Falls, and Mawswami Caves - the cliché romantic destinations.
By evening, you will be checked into pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, you will be taking a short mesmerizing trek to the double-decker living root bridge. Spend time in exploring Cherrapunji hand-in-hand with your special one by taking a romantic stroll.
You will be spending the night in the hotel in Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, it is time to add some colors to your honeymoon with Dawki villages and Mawlynnong. Enjoy Mawlynnong’s beautiful village passes, captivating views of Shillong plateau, and other romance-kindling natural beauties. Before you leave for visiting the living root bridges, have a pleasing stroll through the villages.
Later, you will be visiting the Dawki Villages closer to Bangladesh. Enjoy the beautiful scenic river of this region and take a quixotic boat ride (optional) on the Umngot River to cross the famous Dawki Bridge of 1932 (India - Bangladesh suspension bridge).
Overnight stay at Mawlynnong.
After breakfast, you will start the day with a day tour to Jowai. Jowai is the headquarters of Jaintia Hills, located on the Shillong-Silchar NH, closer to Shillong (66 km). This land makes its way to the list of romantic destinations because of the Myntdu River.
Jowai was once the summer destination of the royal of Jaintia of Sutnga State. You can get have a magical time with your special one by visiting Krang Suri waterfalls. Later, you will be driven to Tryshi waterfalls. Cover the bridge to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall that expands to the lush paddy fields. The untouched beauty of Pynthor Nein is best visited from this bridge.
Later, you will be stopping at Thadlaskein Lake to enjoy a romantic boating experience. Later, you will be visiting Nartiang Menhir, a monolith (27ft high, 6 feet wide and 2ft and 6 inches thick), which is an emblematic structure of the Hynniewtrep culture. End the day with a visit to the 500 years old Durga temple of Nartiang.
By evening, you will be driven back to Shillong and checked into a hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast and the hotel checkout formalities, you will be driven to the railway station or airport of Guwahati to continue your vacation. This marks the end of this itinerary.
