Himachal Pradesh to Organize Apple Festival on 27th September
Beautiful topography, colonial abode, apple farm along with adventure sports make Himachal Pradesh every traveller’s dream destination. The calmness of the hill station fascinates tourists all around the world.
Himachal Pradesh is arranging a 2-day apple festival from 27th-28th September in the state in Shimla. Himachal Pradesh will look lively during this season. The state has planned to organize this Apple festival for fostering tourism activities in Himachal Pradesh and awakening the tourism collaborators. Moreover, since Apple is one of the significant cultivated crops of Himachal Pradesh, they would be exhibiting its each and every variety to all the tourists who come here from different parts of the world. This festival also aims at nurturing the apple industry of the state.
Amit Kashyap, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Shimla, said that the district administrations complete support is with the state. The Department of Tourism will be arranging this festival by partnering with other departments for generating a brand for the state’s apples internationally. It will be held at the Gaiety Theatre’s Gothic Hall as well as the recently-built Multipurpose Hall.

The primary appeal of this Apple Festival that will be conducted in Himachal Pradesh will be the showcasing of recently developed apples that are grown in this state, apple products along with entertainment events such as painting and quiz competition, orchard tourism travel as well as Apple Queen contest. Other than these, traditional cuisine of the state and bakery products prepared from apple will also be exhibited here during the Apple Festival.
Jai Ram Thakur, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, has conveyed this in a mini-conference that witnessed active involvement this and different states’ entrepreneurs. He also said that private showcasing were coordinated in Germany, UAE, and Netherlands and in India it was conducted in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh as well as Ahmedabad for attracting funding.
Further, the CM declared that the perfect atmosphere, dirt-free air, serene ambience along with diversity in the culture of Himachal Pradesh provides its visitors with a wide range of selections that include, adventure, heritage, wildlife, holy, sacred, tombs, skiing, eco-tourism and so on. He also stressed that the government of the state would be setting up this hill station as a top-rank sustainable destination for tourism globally. Thus they will be fabricating sustainable tourism just as one of the foremost driving forces of the state’s growth and development.
He also informed that support is essential from local entrepreneurs as well as investors from different states for conducting the tourism business in Himachal Pradesh. He also encouraged the local entrepreneurs so that they lend their valuable time and support to the state’s development. The government of the state will be examining to streamline the process to bring in financing.
This Apple Festival, which will be held in Himachal Pradesh, comes with a lot of prospective for tourism advertising, but it has not become much successful in becoming a part of the regular event.
