Jodhpur voted as the 3rd best destination in Asia and 10th in the World

While this may not be surprising to many, in the ballot of most attractive tourist spots in the world and in Asia, by TripAdvisor's Global 'Travellers' Choice Awards for 2017; Jodhpur, “The Sun City” has been voted 3rd in Asia and 10th best tourist spot in the world. Every witnesses millions of people travel to city of sun and sand in Rajasthan, the second largest city of the state, where travelers fall in love with the place. Sources revealed that the reason of choice for this glorious city which boasts of large majestic forts, palaces with traces of its bygone glorious past has won the hearts of many and stands at the number three of most favorite spots in Asia. travellers' choice award: Jodhpur ranked 10 globallyThe Traveller’s Choice Awards by TripAdvisor has a total of 43 destinations around the world, that were chosen by an algorithm which measures the yearly hike each of these destinations got in terms of traveler reviews and ratings. The factors considered were the attractions of the places, their overall options of accommodation availability, food and restaurants, and overall booking interest of the travelers. This is the 5th year for this award and has the Traveller’s Choice Destinations on the Rise List. TripAdvisor is a well-known booking website where travelers can get information on travel planning and booking. The reports revealed by them stated that the number one spot was bagged by Baku, which is the capital of Azebaijan in Asia. And the second spot just ahead of Jodhpur was garnered by San Jose Del in Cabo, Mexico best known for its friendly local feel. Speaking on this award, the country manager of TripAdvisor Nikhil Ganju said, “It is definitely exciting to see that an India city such as Jodhpur, has also made it to the list this year, this further goes on to reinstate that India’s popularity is increasing as a global tourist destination”. jodhpur-3rd-no-destination-in-asia Other cities that made their way into the list were El Nino, Philippines (second position holder), Da Lat in Vietnam (fourth position), followed by Jetu in South Korea, Sapa , Vietnam, Hualien, Taiwan,  and Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and George Town in Malaysia. In the international list notable entries were – Whistler, Canada (second position), followed by Jericoacoara in Brazil, then Kihei in Hawaii, Eilat in Israel, Tbilisi in Georgia and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain.
