The monsoon season is one of the most aesthetically pleasing times for Ooty. The place receives mild to moderate drizzling and the vegetation will be filled with dewdrops. Yet, this is the worst time to visit the place. The first reason is the increased risk of landslides due to continuous rain. This increases the risk of reaching Ooty and enjoying other adventure activities. The second reason is that the cloud cover will be heavy and the sky will not be clear enough to enjoy any view point. Mist makes it harder for any activity. Vegetation will be sprouting during this season and thus, flowers and fruits are not commonly spotted. Monsoon starts in July and ends in October.
