JK Tourism Organize Kashmir Mega Festival for Tourists from September 29, 2018

Kashmir, the beauty of India is famous for its unique culture, mesmerizing nature and holistic beauty. The season of romance is about to start in this region. The Kashmir Tourism Department is organizing the Mega Kashmir Festival, during the long Durga Pooja holidays. According to the news, Rigzin Samphel, the tourism secretary met with Tasaduq Jeelani, the tourism director of Kashmir and other top-level officers to review and audit all the arrangements pertaining to the festival.

The Mega Kashmir Festival will start on September 29th and ends on October 1st of 2018. It is said that Samphel have coordinated with several entities of tourism and he said that India’s leading tour operators, travel agent, MICE operators, print and electronic media of different regions and celebrities will be invited to the festival.

This main features of this festival will include, a sightseeing tour to eminent regions of Kashmir, Shikara ride, houseboat ride, water sports, handicraft exhibition, agriculture and horticulture product expo, networking with local tour agents, houseboat owners and others.

Samphel opened up to the press that the festival is a positive message to the rest of the world to remind them the Kashmir is a very ‘happening’ place. This festival will break the stereotype of Kashmir being just a romantic sightseeing spot. This will help tourists to enjoy many exotic recreational activities. In addition, he mentioned that this festival is focused to break the false perception of Kashmir being an unsafe place, even when millions of tourists visit the region, every year. Along with diluting the core negative assumption about Kerala, Samphel believes that the festival with help local minor tour service providers.
