How to Reach Kumarakom

Kumarakom can be accessed through various modes of transport. Air route, Road route, Rail route and Water route connects the city with all the major cities around the world and within the country.

By Air

The Cochin International Airport is located 85 kilometers away from Kumarakom, which is the nearest one. All the major cities around the world are well connected to the city through various flights operated from this airport.

By Train

The Kottayam railway station is the nearest railhead to Kumarakom which is located at a distance of 16 kilometers. This railway station has access to various trains coming from all across the country, connecting the city to the rest of the country.

Note: Hire a private cab or a taxi from the airport or railway station to reach your destination.

By Bus

The most inexpensive way to travel to Kumarakom is through bus. There are many buses running from the nearby cities of Kerala. These buses are operated by the Kerala State Run Transport Corporation (KSRTC). 

Not only this, private air-conditioned buses also play a prominent role in connecting the city with all the major South Indian cities like Bangalore, Mangalore and Chennai.

Traveling within Trivandrum
