2. Khurja

This tiny little city located 2.5 hours south east of Delhi, UP is famous for ceramic pottery. The historic ceramic pottery industry dates back to almost 600 years ago. Originally Afghani artisans moved to this city during the mid 13th Century creating artistic bright hand painted items to use. This is now a large- scale ceramic pottery industry with over 400 small factories. Take a day’s trip to Khurja to shop for various flower vases, serving trays, and other attractive tableware.
