Zanskar is the region of high mountain passes and the remote kingdom of Ladakh. This is our targeted region to explore through Padum-Lamayuru Trek.

This is the toughest trekking trail in Ladakh involving 15 to 20 kms of most difficult terrain through Himalayas. But the efforts in traversing this rough and tough part of trekking trail gets more than equaled by the splendid and dreamlike view of the scenic panorama. This prime trekking trail of Ladakh links Padum in Zanskar with Lamayuru in Ladakh. The trek provides you intervals to visit various Monasteries like Sani Gompa, Karsha Gompa, Lingshed Gompa and Lamayuru Gompa. You will find spots of higher altitude around 5100 meters, several passes like Perfi la, Hunuma la, Sengge la, Sirsir la and Prinkiti la. The trail includes spans of old pack horse trail,sheperds track, and ancient trade route. The trekking route also involves crossing the rivers of Tsarap, Doda, Zanskar and Indus.
