Indus Valley Trek

This is the largest valley of Ladakh. It is formed by the Indus River of Ladakh which flows towards Pakistan. Indus Valley covers the regions of Leh (Capital City of Ladakh), the Skardu and the vast area covered by glaciers beyond extending into Chinese territory. This valley consists of large stretches of undulating lands and passes through the high mountains.

Indus Valley trekking trail passed through a vast uninhabited land. The region has many least explored places of Ladakh. This valley once hosted the ancient Indus Valley City-States Civilization like Mesopotamia and Rome. The ancient silk route for trade with China also lies on the Valley’s trekking trail. On the old trade route through the hills between Likkir and Temisgong, three famous Buddhist Monasteries are located. Visiting these monasteries at Likir, Rizong and Tamisgang en-route trekking will be added an advantage.
