The most commonly visited museum is the one inside Taj Mahal. It is also called as Taj Mahal museum or Taj Museum. This museum has many manuscripts of 17th century with the signature of Shah Jahan.
There are many drawings and blueprints of Taj Mahal. Apart from these, there are a lot of painting, coins, ivory based crafts, Quran stand made of Jade, arms and vessels used by kings and others. In another gallery, there are a lot of documents which marks many historic events.
This museum is close on Friday. The total museum is divided into three galleries. The first gallery is for calligraphic arts, vessels and arms used by kings of Mughal Empire. It is said that the vessels would change colour if the food inside it contains poison. The second gallery is for coins, portraits and ivory based craft items. The third gallery is for historic documents and records including the site plan of Taj Mahal.
The other museum is the Spiritual Museum which has antiques related to architectures. It is for those who love art and architecture. It is a little away from Taj Mahal. If you visit at the right time, you can take part in yoga workshops that happen in this museum.
