Palace on Wheels Price 2026-2027

Palace on Wheels has two different styles of tariff. Based on the climatic condition and tourism season of India, a year is divided into Peak and Lean Season. Peak season starts in October and ends in March and the lean season includes the month of September and April.

We present you the Palace on wheels fare in USD & INR for the year 2026, 2027 for different accommodation styles for single and double occupancy. Important Notes:-

  • GST as applicable shall be charged extra.
  • 10% additional shall be charged on the trips having Christmas and New Year Departure dates.
  • Children up to the age of 5 years will be complimentary; however, it will be in the same cabin.
  • Tariff will be charged for the children aging above 5 years but less than 12 years @50% provided they sharing the accommodations with the adult.
  • One cabin has occupancy of 2 adult Pax only, additional mattress can be provided for infants or child below 12years based on policy.
  • The Tariff in Indian currency is fixed for the guests having valid Indian Nationality proof i.e., Valid Indian passport & OCI card holders (valid proof for the same need to be submitted at the time of booking in case of any variance in the documents than Dollar rate would be applicable).
  • Operator, under information to RTDC reserves the right to revise the tariff at any time without any prior intimation.

  • Children up to the age of 5 years will be complimentary; however, it will be in the same cabin.
  • Tariff will be charged for the children aging above 5 years but less than 12 years @50% provided they sharing the accommodations with the adult.
  • One cabin has occupancy of 2 adult Pax only, additional mattress can be provided for infants or child below 12years based on policy
  • Surcharge of 10% will be applicable during Christmas (25th December) and New Year (1st January) departures.
  • For special festive departures like Christmas (25th December) and New Year (1st January), a surcharge of 10% will be added on the total fare of the Palace on Wheels train tour.
  • GST (Goods and Service Tax) will be applicable On total journey price of Palace on Wheels, as per the Government rule.
  • The above mentioned tariff is subject to change without a prior notification.
  • Indian Rupees (INR Tariff) will be applicable for the guests having any one of these Indian Indentity proof (Passport/Voter ID/Aadhaar/Pan Card, OCI).

Inclusions / Exclusions

  • The fare of Palace on Wheels covers the following
  • Travel, catering, conducted sightseeing, entrance fee at monuments/parks/palaces, cultural programs, camel ride at Jaisalmer, boat ride at Udaipur and rickshaw ride at Bharatpur.
  • Canter Safari will be on sharing basis at Ranthambore National Park.
  • Exclusive Car and Guide services will be provided for Sightseeing and Excursions with the Booking of Super Deluxe (Suite) Cabin
  • The fare of Palace on Wheels doesn't cover the following
  • Drinks, tips, laundry, telephone calls, video camera fees, business car facilities, liquor and other items of personal nature.

Booking Policy

  • 25% of the tariff at the time of the confirmation of the booking.
  • Remaining 75% of the tariff needs to be paid 60 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy

In case of travelers want to cancel the tour, they need to intimate Palace on Wheels via fax or e-mail. The refund of the money is solely based upon the number of days left for the departure of the train

  • 10% of ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation between 120 to 90 days before the travel date.         
  • 25% of ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation between 89 to 60 days before the travel date.              
  • 50% of the ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation around 59 to 30days before the travel date.         
  • No refund shall be admissible in case the booking is cancelled within 29 days before the departure date.  
  • On cancellation of booking Suo-moto by Operator 100% of the fund deposited (without any kind of additional charges/claims) will be refunded.        
  • However, Operator will not be liable for any refund or compensation for any services such as pre/post accommodation, airline tickets, and excursions etc. that have been booked by the guest and/or their Travel Agent.   
  • Operator, under information to RTDC reserves the right to cancel the tour/trips at any given point of time to whatsoever reasons, 100% of received amount will be refunded in such cases.          
  • Operator will review and apprise the agents of such instances 60days prior to departure in case of low occupancy. Operator has the right to cancel the departure upto 30days prior and inform the agents or individuals of such bookings.
  • The minimum occupancy defined is of 50% to run the operations, i.e.17cabins.
