The representative of Travelogy India will welcome you on your arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. You will then be assisted by him to the hotel booked for you. The representative will give you the documents of tour after checking in. He will also tell you about the tour in short. Delhi sightseeing, which includes visit to India Gate, Parliament Street, Akshardham Temple (Swaminarayan Temple) and many more. You will have your dinner in the hotel and will relax there for the whole night.
Next day as soon as you finish up your breakfast, we shall move on to see various destinations of Old and New Delhi. We begin from visit Qutub Minar. This ages old Minaret also happens to be a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. In the Qutub Minar Complex, see the actual Ashoka Pillar which real inscriptions on it! After this we move on to see the Humayun’s Tomb which is historical place.
From here we shall take a short break in Connaught Place for lunch. Move around the market and take a feel of the place. After this we take you around RajGhat (the place where Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi was laid down) and Shakti Peeth (place for Late Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi). In the evening we will reach Chandni Chowk – local ethnic Indian Market. Shop here for local dresses and artificial jewellery. Dinner and night stay at the hotel.
Next day will see you on Delhi – Jaipur highway. It’s a 6 - 7 hours drive and it will be late evening when we reach Jaipur. Lunch will be on the way. After reaching the hotel, relax and enjoy the evening in the hotel.
Jaipur is a city full of hussle and bussle and life. As you spend your day in the Pink City of Rajasthan; make you click a lot when you are here. The first destination here is the Hawa Mahal – the honeycombed 5 storied building. Basically meant for the Royal Ladies to see the city life from its “ Jharokas”; it‘s a different kind of architecture to see. The Capital of Rajasthan houses some of the most spectacular historical buildings – Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Lake Palace and Raj Mandir.
We begin from Amber Fort; enjoy a uphill elephant ride and see the history unfolding in the palace. Soon after this see the Lake Palace which can be seen from the road from where we shall take you to Jantar Mantar (largest observatory of India). Enjoy your lunch in Raj Mandir Complex and evening at Babu Market (local ethnic market). In the night we shall return to the hotel.
The 5th day of the tour shall see you moving towards Agra – the eternal city of love epitome! Reaching there in early first half the day, we will move on straight to Taj Mahal (Seven Wonders of the World)! Step in and see the beauty of White marble carved out in the form of a beautiful mausoleum! It is said that colours of this marble keeps on changing with the changing weather- so watch out – who knows which colour you get to capture in your camera! Watch the sun setting in behind the Taj Mahal. Evening shall be a round -about of Sadar Bazar where you can shop for local souvenirs and mini Taj Mahal! Night stay at the hotel in Agra.
Get up to a lazy morning on the 6th day of the tour. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. After this we shall see the Red Fort of Agra. Huge as it is – it has got a lot in to see – Deewane Khaas and Dewane Aam, frescos, inlay work and lot other. In it you can also see the place from where Shah Jahan used to see Taj Mahal! Enjoy ethnic food for lunch and move around Sadar Bazar for local shopping. Evening is for rest at the hotel where you shall stay for the night!
Orccha lying barely at a 4 and ½ hrs drive away from Agra, is a heavenly destination. It’s one destination which states Madhya Pradesh architecture incomparably. It has got a number of Chhatris or Cinopaths which look like touching the sky from a distance. Built in the 9th century and thereafter there are a unequivocal mix of Mughal and Indian architecture! The unique structures include Chaturburj temple, Laxmi Temple, Raj Mahal, Sunder Mahal/Palace Orchha Palace cortile and Uth Khana. Be ready to click on… And if you believe in Ghost Stories; then we must tell you – Orchha happens to be one of the Ghost Palaces of India! One can see it is the cleanliness and absence of bats. Rest all is all beautiful! Night stay at one of the hotels in Orchha only.
Our next destination is Khajuraho - City of Temples! Khajuraho is just 3 hrs drive from Orchha; so we shall begin after breakfast. On reaching Khajuraho,check in the hotel for little rest and lunch. After lunch we will set on to see the Khajuraho Temples. Made on the lines of 64 pada grid design; it’s known for its erotic designs and unique stone work architecture. Once here, watch out for Shantinath Temple, Magic Square at Parshavnath Temple, Kandariya Mahadev temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. Khajuraho Temples are considered UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Spend overnight at the hotel.
Our next destination is Varanasi or Benaras – the holy city of Hindus. It’s the place where ashes are flown in the Holy Ganges and prayers are spelt all around. In the early hours you can find many chanting Sanskrit shlokas as you walk on the river Ghat. So, on the 9th day, we will take a flight to Varanasi.
On the 10th day of the tour, get up early as we take you to a walk around of Dashashwamedh Ghat. It’s the main ghat of Varanasi. Sit here in peace and see the Sun rising. If you feel like you can even take a holy dip in the holy Ganges water here. After this we will take you for a boat ride. Soon after the boat ride we shall take you to the Hotel for breakfast. From there we straight go to “Sarnath” – a place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after achieving Enlightenment. After this we shall visit Vishwanath Temple. Afternoon is at your ease. In the evening watch the Ganga Aarti and take a walk in the local market.
On the 11th day of the tour, we move on to Kathmandu. Our next 3 days will be spent exploring the naturalness of this place. In this land of pristine beauty, the first place we will visit are Changu Narayan Temple and Golden Temple. Changu Temple is a unique place to be in as it is made in two – tiered Pagoda style surrounded by mythical beasts – ram – horned griffons and lions – something explicit of this place. Golden Temple on the other hand is a Buddhist Monastery and good to be in! After visiting these two places, return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Kathmandu is basically a land of natural beauty in Nepal where Kings ruled and their presence can still be felt in the hearts of people. So, on the 2nd day of your stay here we shall take you to see two most beautiful places. After breakfast we shall move on to Nagarkot. At a distance of about 32 kms from Kathmandu; it’s a place from where you can see Mt. Everest and Himalaya. Enjoy the naturalness of this place as we return to Patan. Also known as Lalitpur, it was built by Emperor Ashoka. Here we will take you around Patan Durbar, Krishna Temple, Mahaboudha Temple and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar. Soon after lunch at this place, we shall visit National Art Gallery and Museum. For dinner and night stay we will be back in the hotel.
Next morning, get up and take a refreshing bath. Early this morning, we will take you to Pashupatinath Temple. The most famous temple of Kathmandu; a portion of it is made of Pure Gold; it’s the heavenly adobe of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. After this we will be back in the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we will move on to see Vajrayogini Temple. It’s the 2nd most known temple. Watch out here for finely crafted Ganesha, Hanuman and Vishnu statues.
Our next destination is the Royal Palace of Kathmandu. Built in the 14th century, you can see the National Art Gallery and Golden Gate here. The Palace in itself is magnificent. In the evening take a walk in the local market, go around Potter’s square, indulge in local shopping and return to the hotel for night stay and dinner.
On the last day of the tour we shall help you take the first flight back to Delhi from where you shall take a flight back home…..
